Special guided tour to the Old Monastery and Library.
In addition to the classic journey, the guided tour includes the Old Monastery, the Library and the museum areas usually closed to the public.
Visit duration: about 2 hours.
Ticket prices:
– full 10,00 €
– reduced 8,00 € (adults over 65 years old and children from 6 to 18 years old)
– holders of museums subscription, supplement 2,00€
Booking is not required, but we recommend to arrive 20 minutes before the beginning of the tour.

Concert of Celtic Music with the group Euron Ensemble.
Then, a special nocturnal visit to the Shrine, New Monastery and Bell’Alda Tower.
Visit duration: about 2 hours.

– Frans Ferzini, stonemason, Teachers Comacini and EASMS: “Workers and old technology of the stone”.
– Grazia Signori, geologist and expert on ornamental stones: “Geology of the cathedrals: how many stories tell us about stones?”.
– Dario Spada, professor of Art and Territory: “Architecture and colours: Sacra in the panorama of European Romanesque”.

Moderator for public comment: Carla Zusi, director and manager of “L’Informatore del Marmista”.

Lunch break with typical local products.
Guided tour of the Abbey, the quarry of Andrade and musical performance with demonstration of sculpture of the green stone.

Please note: during the whole morning of Saturday 28 September, the Sacra will remain open only for the Holy Vigil Mass of St. Michael the Archangel at 11.00 am. All visits will resume regularly at the end of the Holy Mass (1.00 pm)

Splinter of culture: special themed visit with olfactory moment “The Archangel Michele in the history and in the places”.
Who are the archangels? Why has been the Sacra right here built? How can we interprate the depictions carved on the Portal of Zodiac?
We’ll try to answer to the following questions, facing the classical path of visit.

Feast day of Saint Michael Archangel
At 12.00 pm: Holy Mass at the Abbey in concelebration with the ecclesial communities of the Valley.
Please note: During the morning of Sunday 29 September, visits to the monument will be allowed only from 9.30 am to 11.00 am.  From 11.15 a.m. entry is allowed only for the participation to the Holy Mass. Visits will resume regularly at the end of religious function (2.00 pm).
